MA Leadership 2012 | Tracey Kim Haycox MBE is Director of Children and Young People's Services for children's charity Safe@Last. In June 2013 she was made an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours.

Tracey Kim Haycox MBE is Director of Children and Young People’s Services for children’s charity Safe@Last. She graduated with a MA Leadership from the University of Huddersfield in 2012.

Since joining the charity in 2005 Tracy has managed the expansion and development of SAFE@LAST’s services across South Yorkshire. Tracey has been instrumental in expanding the MISPER Scheme which provides one to one support to young people across Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield and Barnsley. One of her greatest achievements has been the development and opening of the SAFEPLACE refuge which is now the only refuge in England able to provide safe, confidential accommodation to children and young people, 16 years and under, who are at risk of harm.

On a national level she has impacted on the services available for young runaways by sharing her experience and knowledge with other professionals and lobbying government to improve services and provision for young runaways. Having held discussions with MP’s and senior government officials, she was instrumental in the publication of the Department for Education and Schools (as it was known then) Runaways Action Plan. She regularly speaks at national conferences to raise understanding of the issue of running away.

Tracey was nominated to carry the Olympic flame through Rotherham in June 2012 as part of the London 2012 Olympic Games. In June 2013 she was made an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours.
